Be there or be square

yeah thats lame. whatever, i'm tired. this can collecting is hard work. ;)

The votes are in and the official GTG date is:
Friday, December 4th @ 1030am

I'm sorry if this time and date does not work for some of you. I wish this particular event ran through the weekend. If you cannot make it to the food drive but plan on coming to the Mother's Night Out gtg in Springfield on the 5th, you can still bring donations. I will be happy to collect items there and get them to Philabundance on your behalf.

FAQ on the Food Drive/GTG

Food Banks need our help more than ever! Because of the awful economy and subsequent job losses, more and more people are turning to food banks. Delaware Valley food banks are EMPTY. If we don't help, many families will go without this holiday season. I realize hard times have hit everyone. Whether you can donate 1 can or 100 cans anything and everything will be greatly appreciated!

What:
Every year WMMR and morning show hosts Preston and Steve host Camp Out For Hunger. For a week every winter, they live in an RV at the Metroplex Shopping Center in Conshoken, PA.
This year, I'd like to once again invite moms from the thebump.com forums (and anyone else that reads this) to join me for a Get Together. We will meet up to make a donation and then we'll have lunch at Ruby Tuesday.

When: Please take this poll. Official date and time will be posted on Nov. 17th

Where: The Metroplex Shopping Center in Plymouth Meeting, PA is the donation site. I will make a sign so that you can identify the group. But look for the big white tent. That is the donation area.

Where does my donation go?All donations benefit Philabundance - feeding the hungry of the Delaware Valley.

Can I bring my baby?Of course! I'm bringing mine. What's the point in meeting a Nestie if you aren't meeting their baby too!

Can I start a food drive at work or in my neighborhood and bring it to the donation center? Please do! Philabundance needs all the donations they can get.

I cant come to the event but would like to donate. What can I do? You have a few options. I have two volunteers in the Suburban Philadelphia area willing to be drop-off points for food donations. Please contact me at mommabrown08@gmail.com and I can give you their information. Please understand that for their security, I must have your real name and your knot/nest/bump screen name.
You can also go to acmemarkets.com and make a cash donation.

Can I volunteer to be a drop-off point? Please do! It requires little effort on your part. You can just put a box on your front porch and then bring the donations to the get-together with you. I will not give out your email or home address. Those that would like to take advantage of using you as a drop-off point will email me and I will forward their email to you. No one will have your address unless you give it to them. You do not have to let anyone in your house and if you choose you can even meet them in a mutually agreeable public place if that is more comfortable for you.

I dont live anywhere near Philly but I would like to collect and give to my local food bank. Where do I start? Hosting a food drive is as easy as setting up a donation box in your workplace or calling on your local Bumpies for a holiday GTG/food drive. Go here to find a food bank near you: http://feedingamerica.org/foodbank-results.aspx

Any other questions, please email me (Kelly/MommaBrown) at mommabrown08@gmail.com.

Please take this
poll and I will post final results on 11/17.
